'We never warned our son about the dangers of Inhalant Abuse because we had never even heard about it. Our son, Ricky, died after trying Inhalants just one time. Now we spend each day hoping for opportunities to educate parents, grandparents and adults everywhere about the deadly consequences of Inhalant Abuse.'
—Ricky, Sr. and Diane Stem
'As a father of two teenage boys, I was very concerned when I first learned about Inhalant Abuse. I immediately sat down with my sons to discuss what they knew about it and to warn them of the extreme dangers. Communication and education are critical aspects that need to be integrated throughout the teen years.' -
—Chris Cathcart President, Consumer Specialty Products Association

The home opener for Striking Out Inhalant Abuse in Minnesota happens at the Minnesota Twins game vs. Toronto Blue Jays on Friday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m.

About Us

STRIKE OUT INHALANT ABUSE IN MINNESOTA is a state-wide awareness and coalition-building campaign sponsored by the Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE) aimed at alerting Minnesota families about the prevalence and dangers of inhalant abuse in children.

To kick-off the campaign, ACE and the Minnesota Twins are partnering for “Strike Out Inhalant Abuse Day” at the May 13 home-game against the Toronto Blue Jays, which includes a poster-giveaway to the first 10,000 fans, pre-game and 7th inning stretch events featuring local kids, and a new public service announcement featuring Twins pitcher and Stillwater native, Glen Perkins.
